I'm Lollo. French born, Italian raised. I first landed in Cape Town in 1996, and made it my permanent home in 2007. My work has been recognised internationally. Honorable Mention, People-Portrait, Tokyo International Foto Awards 2025, for Kyudo Archer. Two Honorable Mentions, Elder People Street, Paris International Street Photo Awards 2025, for Weathered Worker and Warmth and Joy. Honorable Mention, Circle Foundation for the Arts New York Group Show Contest 2026. Honorable Mention, PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris 2026. My work moves across three bodies of work. Fine art photography from my travels across Africa, Asia and Europe. Documentary portraits of people who are often overlooked. Wildlife photography from Southern Africa. I started photographing seriously in 2020, after two decades of shooting only for myself. Street portraiture became my discipline. I always ask permission before I photograph a stranger. Every frame has to earn its place through light, mood or connection. Not just documentation. My work has been shown in group exhibitions. Shoot4Purpose cohort 8, a program that empowers women through street photography, exhibited at ORMS School of Photography in 2023. THE LENS exhibition. Bloom and Bliss 2.0.
